DAY 3

10:30 am

The officer walked away and Mulder shoved his speeding ticket into the glove compartment with distaste. "I can’t believe he gave me a ticket!"

Scully rolled her eyes. "Just because you are an FBI agent doesn’t mean you are above the rest of the laws Mulder."

Mulder huffed as he pulled back out onto the road. "Yes but I am going to investigate a case! Why the hell did he do that?!"

Scully felt the annoyance building in her neck. "Mulder… Give it up ok. Just pay the damn thing and forget about it.

"I am NOT paying that!"

Scully turned to him in shock. "Why the hell not?! Just because you are Mr. Big Shot FBI Agent investigating a case?"

Mulder glanced at her. "Damn right."

Scully tried to take a calming breath, but it didn’t work. "You know Mulder you can be the most arrogant bastard in the world when you want to."

"Yeah and you can be a real bitch." He mumbled without looking at her.

Scully starred at him, mouth agape and cheeks burning with anger. "I swear… if you weren’t driving this car I’d slap you."

Mulder veered off the road and onto the shoulder, put the car in park and turned at her. "Take your best shot." He held his arms out to the side.

Scully’s whole body tensed. She turned away from him and faced the road. "Just drive the damn car Mulder."

He grinned and pulled the car back on to the road. "I knew you wouldn’t do it." He said smugly.

Without looking at him Scully reached over and smacked him up side his head.

"Ow!" He cried as he straightened the car. "Damn it Scully! There was a reason I pull the car over! You want me to get us killed?!"

Scully was fuming. "Well if you let me drive once in a while you wouldn’t have to worry about getting tickets or causing accidents." She turned her face to the passenger window signaling the conversation was over.
